Accessing Outlook Emails After Upgrading to Windows 10 – Error 0x8004010F

The reader’s question:
I updated Windows 10 and saw this error in Outlook. I can’t send e-mails either: Task *** The e-mail address will be deleted for privacy reasons *** – Send an error message ( 004010E ) : The Outlook data file is not accessible. – Michael R., United Kingdom

Before solving a computer problem, I always recommend scanning and correcting the underlying problems that affect the health and performance of your PC:

  • Step 1 : Download the PC repair and optimization program (WinThruster for Win 10, 8, 7, Vista, XP and 2000 – Microsoft Gold Certified).
  • Step 2 : Click the Start scan button to detect problems in the Windows registry that may cause problems with the PC.
  • Step 3 : Click the Restore All button to solve all problems.

Setting up automatic weekly (or daily) scanners will help you avoid system problems and get your PC up and running quickly and smoothly.

Wally’s answer: Microsoft Outlook users are confronted with these errors for various reasons. Here we look at how you can correct Microsoft Outlook error 004010F so that it works properly again.

Problem

The user is unable to send or receive e-mail and sees this error message in Microsoft Outlook 2010 or Outlook 2013 due to error 004010F.

Soil

This error is due to an incorrect Outlook profile.

Solution

Create a new profile in Outlook to solve the problem.

Create a new profile in Outlook

In Windows 10, open the Control Panel by pressing the Windows key and typing the Control Panel.

In the list of search results, click Control Panel or press Enter to open it.

Select the small symbols as shown below. Then select the mail icon as shown in the figure.

Click on the View Profiles button

Click on Add to create a new profile. You can call it whatever you want.

Fill in the details required to create a new profile.

Select the new profile as the new default profile. You can do this by clicking on the circle next to Always this profile and selecting the newly created profile.

When finished, click the Apply button and close Outlook.

Open Outlook again and wait for it to load. Loading a new profile for the first time may take some time.

Your emails should now be displayed and you should normally be able to send and receive emails.

Is your PC in good health?

I always advise my readers to regularly use a reliable registry cleaner and optimizer such as WinThruster or CCleaner. Many of the problems that arise can be attributed to a corrupt and inflated register.
