On the third. In November 2020 Tecno launched the Camon 16 series of photo cameras. The company announced two smartphones – Camon 16 and Camon 16 SE – equipped with game processors. The event was broadcast online on Tecno Mobile’s official Facebook page, but also on other social media platforms.
Early last month, Tecno released the most expensive version of the series, the Camon 16 Premier, in Pakistan for Rs 40,000. Today we saw two other options – Camon 16 and Camon 16 SE at a lower price of 37,000 and 27,000 rupees respectively.
Camon 16 Properties
The camera 16 is equipped with a four-camera rear unit with a 48 megapixel main sensor in combination with an 8 megapixel super wide angle camera with 119 degrees, which is also suitable for super macro photography. There is a 2 megapixel depth sensor with another AI camera. The basic equipment of the camera comes with a 5-way flash. On the front panel is a 16-megapixel camera with a self-service camera and an ultra-wide-angle 105-degree lens.
The Camon 16 has a 6.9-inch full HD dot-in screen with a screen resolution of 1080*2460. Your phone supports a 90 Hz refresh rate. There is a fingerprint sensor on the side, while the phone is equipped with a large 4,500 mAh battery with a 33 W fast charge.
The phone runs HiOS based on the Android 10 operating system. It runs on the MediaTek Helio G90T processor in combination with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB internal memory.
Camon 16 SE Properties
The Camon 16 SE has a four-chamber rear view camera with a 48-megapixel main sensor in combination with a 2-megapixel super macro sensor. There is a 2 megapixel depth sensor with another AI camera. The basic equipment of the camera comes with a 5-way flash. On the front is a 16 megapixel camera for selfish recordings.
The Camon 16 SE has a 6.8-inch HD point-in display with a resolution of 720*1640. On the back is a fingerprint sensor, while the phone is equipped with a large 18-watt, rapidly rechargeable 5000 mAh battery.
The phone runs HiOS based on the Android 10 operating system. It runs on a MediaTek Helio G70 processor in combination with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal memory.
The program is not yet finished, TECNO launches the first documentary with Mehwish Hayat, which reveals the main features of TAIVOS technology. A lumberjack of fashion and life will capture real life with Mehvish Hayat of CAMON 16, and this documentary will be divided into 6 episodes.
TAIVOS – What is it?
Since both phones are camera-focused, the company is launching new Camon 16 smartphones with TAIVOS technology (short for Tecno AI Vision Optimization Solution). The main features of TAIVOS technology in the field of photography – AI wide angle double lens camera, beautiful night portrait mode, AI dark skin beauty portrait mode, professional anti-shake mode, 960 fps slow motion mode and 4k photography.
Prices and availability
The Camon 16 is now available for 36,999 PKR, and if you buy it before the end of the month, you’ll receive a free pair of TWS earplugs. Currently it is only available in one colour – glacier silver.
The Camon 16 SE costs 26,999 PKR and is available in three colours: purist blue, cloud white and fog grey.
Camon 16 Premier was previously submitted for PKR 39,999.
