Tell me about your personal experiences and what motivated you to work for your company.

Tal Daskal: My name is Tal Daskal and I am the CEO and co-founder of EasySend, a SaaS company based in Tel Aviv, New York and EMEA. After working for one of Israel’s largest insurance companies, I saw with my own eyes how big the problem was caused by paperwork and manual processes in the insurance industry – and that’s where EasySend came into the picture.

What is your current main product and can you give a product sales history?

Tal Daskal: EasySend is a coding platform for creating and optimizing customers’ digital journeys. EasySend is at the forefront of the digital future. It helps businesses convert paper documents such as PDFs into digital travel forms, so they can create online forms in minutes at the touch of a button – without a single line of code. The EasySend platform takes long and complex forms and automatically converts them into amazing digital journeys that can be completed on any device. Thanks to advanced real-time analysis, companies digitizing with EasySend get a complete overview of their customers’ activities and behavior. Organizations can easily identify areas where their customers have stopped filling out forms to streamline the process of filling out forms, drive revenue growth and improve service and customer satisfaction.

How much money have you raised so far? When was the last financing cycle?

Tal Daskal: We’ve received $16 million in grants. The Series A financing round took place in September 2020.

What are the internal decision-making processes that determined the start of fundraising and what logistics are involved? And how many investors did you meet, how did you get to know these investors and which channels worked best for you?

Tal Daskal: The COWID 19 pandemic has shown more clearly than ever that digital transformation is no longer optional. EasySend helps you create a large-scale digital corporate culture quickly and cost-efficiently.

What are the main challenges and obstacles in the fundraising process? If you had to start over, what else would you do?

Tal Daskal: Just two months after we began fundraising, we raised Series A funds in connection with the global coronavirus pandemic, demonstrating the current need and desire for safe, efficient and easy-to-use digital processes. Fundraising is at best a difficult task, and it certainly hasn’t been. We talked to investors day and night. Several people decided to move quickly to the next phase during the difficult period of the crown.

We have received several newsletters on terminology and have started to work extensively with investors. We have contacted their portfolio companies, board members, former colleagues and many others. Fortunately, we only chose Hanaco as cycling leader with another strategic partner after careful research: Capital Intel. We have continued to work with two venture capital companies that have invested in our start-up cycle (Peak and Menorah).

What are the milestones for the next cycle? And what are your goals for the future?

Tal Daskal: We intend to use this investment to expand our U.S. business and to develop our vertical businesses, such as government, telecommunications, medical and others. We also plan to strengthen three layers of our product:

  • Construction – code-free platform for making digital journeys
  • Optimization – toolbars filled with data and analysis material that give you insight into the chaotic world of digital transformation.
  • Integration – market introduction and strengthening of our integration capabilities

How did you attract users and what strategy did you use to grow your business from start to finish?

Tal Daskal: EasySend is developing actively in the United States, EMEA and Asia-Pacific. We have more than 40 corporate clients worldwide, such as Petplan and Nurnberger Versicherung, and work with SAP, Amdocs, KPMG, Capgemini, Deloitte and many others. We currently have offices in Israel, New York and Germany, where we have more than 50 employees, and we plan to have more than 100 employees by 2021.

How would you like to develop your activities worldwide?

Tal Daskal: We are now actively expanding into the US, EMEA and ATR. We plan to expand our vertical businesses in government, telecommunications, medicine and other areas.

What are the most common mistakes companies make in their global expansion?

Tal Daskal: One of the most common mistakes companies make as they expand globally begins by preventing local teams from taking the lead. Hiring employees in different countries, but ignoring their contributions is a common mistake that prevents effective global expansion. These people know their country and their business well, which makes them well suited to participate in business decisions. At the same time, the localisation, adaptation of sales and marketing channels to the respective regions is crucial for strategic growth abroad.

How do you manage the Kovid 19 flash situation to ensure the survival of your company?

Tal Daskal: The COVID 19 pandemic has made it clear to our potential customers and to us that a digital switchover is no longer necessary. Regardless of the sector, companies are moving towards a more digital future. EasySend helps companies achieve this by creating a digital culture in record time and at the lowest possible cost. We raised money in the aftermath of the coronavirus pandemic, just two months after we started fundraising, indicating the current need for safe, efficient and easy-to-use digital processes.

What are the most common mistakes founders make when starting a business?

Tal Daskal: Involving the wrong people and developing a product without continuous customer feedback throughout the process.

What is the best advice you have ever received? And what advice can you give to someone who wants to do similar things with you or go in a similar direction?

Tal Daskal: Make sure there is a clear market adjustment before you make important business decisions – in other words, until the machine is up and running.

Offer your customers the best service and develop a product that meets their needs.

What are the three most popular books or movies (series) that changed your life and why?

Tal Daskal:

  • The hardest thing about difficult things…
  • Wall Street wolf
  • Commander

These three excellent books cover the basics of entrepreneurship and how to achieve your life goals.

How do you maintain your motivation on a daily basis?

Tal Daskal: I think about the goals I want to achieve and evaluate how I can achieve them most effectively.

What are the three most important life lessons your (future) sons and daughters need to know?

Tal Daskal:

  • Work hard, but don’t forget to take advantage…
  • Work hard, play hard.
  • Work hard and enjoy the trip.

Why do you want to be remembered?

Tal Daskal: I would like to be reminded of EasySend’s mission: building digital culture in the digital age.
